Good + safe tents that are easy to assemble.  Good variety + high quality yummy food. Vehicle was well equipped to handle different terrain.  Travels through amazing places and allows for a high number of animal sightings on this Botswana Adventurer Safari.  Good variety of campsites and different experiences to be had.

Ike had a brilliant eye – very easy to talk with and good humour.  Shower rose did not work very well, but over all good equipment. Excellent food, the chef needs to print and sell his recipe book.  Plenty of space in the vehicle and was very reliable when it was needed.  More than we could have ever had anticipated. So much seen, enjoyed time with staff, will have no hesitation to recommend Okavango Expeditions serviced safari.

Ike, Great on tracking & finding animals. He has a wealth of knowledge and fascinating stories.  Serviced safari tents were clean and comfortable and really liked the enclosed (en-suite) bathrooms.  Fantastic food. Always prepared with love, presented with passion, service was great! Comfortable vehicle, liked elevation off the ground. Nice height for viewing.  3rd row slightly bumpy – but that’s offroad.

IKE, An expert of the safari, every experienced, warm & friendly.  KB is a great cook, the guys were always very attentive. We always knew we were safe.  Great experience on a serviced safari, ran smoothly enough – slight hiccup with the backup vehicle but all ended up true.  Many thanks!

Ike 🙂  🙂  🙂 very high knowledge, very friendly & great attitude. Huge meals & very delicious. We loved our experience on the serviced safari camping in the bush.  It was a new experience to us in the game reserve living with animals.  Scary at the start but absolutely an unforgettable experience made safe by the friendly staff.

Okavango Expeditions Mobile Camping Serviced Safari

For the more adventurous safari goer, I loved my nights of mobile camping.  Our game viewing was phenomenal – including a herd of elephants marching to the water, slowly falling into single file at the subtle yet detectable command of the matriarch, and emerging from the marsh on the other side as we sat in our vehicle at the point of exit – I know no other way to describe it than I was enveloped in elephants!  It was a once in a lifetime experience that’s difficult to put into words.

We spent our nights dining with fine china and linens by the light of lanterns, recounting our stories from the day.  Our guides were beyond phenomenal – they were actually cousins and had grown up in Botswana and started learning guiding at a very early age before joining the official training/schooling programs.  They knew the leaves to eat for a stomach ache and the lifecycles and life stages of the elephant – they could identify how old an elephant was based on his behavior, and explained how the changes to the local environment has impacted the game over the years.  Hearing their personal stories of living and learning in Botswana combined with their ingrained knowledge of the reasons behind everything we were seeing and doing was touching.  Gracious to share their home with us and still in awe of every single game encounter, our guides made all the difference in the world in how I got to see and experience Botswana.  We went to sleep under the stars (visible through our mesh tent flap) with elephants splashing into and drinking at our camp’s waterhole one night and lions brushing through our camp on another (we heard them during the night, but only learned of their proximity while chatting over tea and breakfast around the campfire the next morning!).

What I liked the most was the experience of really being in the bush on the Serviced Safari. We were lucky to have some elephants passing through the camp to the river at night. I really didn´t see much but to hear them so close and they sounded like children playing in a swimming pool, it’s something I won´t forget.  I thought I wouldn´t sleep much because I was thinking of insects, bugs, snakes and all that but the truth is that the sound of the leaves with the wind and the rest of the night sounds were like a lullaby and I slept like a baby.  The guides were very knowledgeable, not only of wildlife but also of the ecosystems and the culture.

Kaiser + Thuso – absolutely xcellent – fun + knowledgable.  Thoroughly impressed at the creativity & taste of food.  All delicious.  Vehicle – no problems, just chilly with no sides.  I would do it again tomorrow – worth every penny.
